DDNS to GOOGLE DOMAINS WAS WORKING FINE on my ASUS but it died and I was stupid to come back to netgear despite the nighthawk specs stating it had DDNS. (well sure, half implemented DDNS)
Now i have to setup up a cron job or extra process to cover something the router should be doing.
like yay, they talk to no-ip but I got sick of renewing my free account each month with them and bought my own domain which i can't easily use from home anymore :/
