I have added an Orbi system to my network in AP mode to replace an ASUS RT-68P, but miss much of the diagnostic info I've been accustomed to.
On the attached devices screen in AP mode, I would like to know the current tx/rx speed of the devices, which band they are using, as well as whether they are on the router or which satellite.
I'd also like to be able to see the MAC addresses of the wifi interfaces in the GUI so I can determine which router/satellite is connected from a wifi client system

The orbi and any Netgear router or modem could have far more monitoring functions by embeding small micro computers like the http://www.pcworld.com/article/3138886/computers/the-orange-pi-zero-single-board-computer-ships-for-699.html in to their design and lcd or oled to display the information as themicro computer would do all the monitoring the other processors would be freed to run other router or modem task. This would not add but a few dollars to cost of these devices as you today buy a http://www.pcworld.com/article/3138886/computers/the-orange-pi-zero-single-board-computer-ships-for-699.html for only $6.99 that cheap for quad core cpu with wireless and wired lan on board.
