Consider making the default setting of the router to have the light display when plugged to power. This will enable people to physically see if the router is plugged and working from a distance. When the WiFi system is down a red light shows that the internet is not working (which is great) but no indicator when it’s turned on. My young toddlers play & unplug stuff occasionally and I can’t tell from a distance if the router is plugged or not bc the router has no light when it’s powered. Plus a light looks much cooler for $1500 router than a plain mundane black box. Firmware update please!!

The normal standard front LED behavior is that for normal operation, the front LED or TOP ring LED on Orbi AC is OFF. If it's ON then the following would be reasons:

Most people enjoy having any LEDs OFF as some may have them in dark rooms where they sleep. Most of the time the LED is off works well and if it's ON, then users of course will need to investigate the problem. IF there is on.
When the Units are turned ON it takes a few seconds however the front LED will start to blink WHITE. Thats a inidation that the system is booting up. When it slowly pulsates, means that the system is sycing or the RBS needs to be or is ready to be synced or syncing is in progress. BLUE means it's connected. OFF is Normal operation.
NG will probably not deviate from this as it's standard practice accross the Orbi line. It's simple and easy.
