I see what you mean a lan cable running from point A to point B can and would be big problem. In you case you said it is two house made into one unless they share the breaker box power lan adapters may not be a help either so a true mesh system that relayed the wifi signal from points A too Z via a link between the Orbi unit would be best. As they stand now you have to place the base station Orbi in the middle of the mesh network so the others could link to it.
