QoS needs to be added to the Orbi 860, i have the RBR860 and would like to configure QoS on specific devices for work or gaming and lessen the priority of the kids tablets when they're just watching YouTube. Other routers have QoS no reason why NG shouldn't have it in the 860.

Do you have a problem that QoS could solve? Might be worth trying to troubleshoot that.
QoS was born in the days of slow Internet connections. Common thinking is that QoS is pointless if you have a connection of >300 Mbps. Some say 200 Mbps.
Regular advice in the community is that users should turn off QoS because it eats into prcessing power as the router had to manage the traffic. - FURRYe38Guru - Experienced User
QoS becomes mostly irrelevant at 1GB up and Down and beyond. Been like this for a long time. Not really needed at that speed or faster.
Something the Orbi has never offered. If you need something to set priorities, you'll need to look at something that supports that.

I don’t want it handled on its own, Linksys Velop has a priority and QoS option in their mesh no reason why NG can’t give us that as well. I only went with Orbi for the extra range and Ethernet ports on the satellite nodes but I almost wish I didn’t. I don’t need the router deciding what’s important on the network. I don’t need a motion security camera or a 7yo tablet playing a random game on the kids fire tablet getting higher speeds over my work laptop trying to download files from a remote server. Even with a 3GB up and down still no reason I shouldn’t be able to set priorities

All Orbi MESH systems QoS is automatic and handled by the system automatically.
Other routers are stand alone systems and not MESH. MESH seems be more complex and has different handling requirements. Why NG made most features seen on stand alone routers automatic behind the scenes.
