RAX40 DFS impacts should be logged + 5GHz max chan for France

Hello,

I have a RAX40, and I tried different 5GHz channels to look for less interferences....

When I tried channels as 100 or 120 (DFS chan), late in the evenings, it worked fine a couple of hours and it went back to 36 !!

It should be a "++++"  to have a trace of those channels changed by system because DFS inside the logs to know why and when channels were changed from 100 or 120 or any DFS channel  to 36.

P.S. In Europe/France DFS chan are up  to 140, but settings allow 128 max !

In my case this is a RAX40, but it could be done on all brand news routers if it doesn't exist.

(I already discuss with Netgear's forum users saying it was a good idea.)

Best regards

Ronald

on 5GHz channel, if we want to run at 160Mhz, we have to use DFS channels (>50)  (here in Europe) and in my environment in PARIS, I have RADAR detections who make channels back to 36... and freq back to lower ones (even lower 80MHz!!).

So 160 MHz is not usable (to many impacts if RADAR detected).
