Model: R7000
Firmware version: V1.0.9.28_10.2.32
Issue:
Connecting 802.11g device to 5Ghz radio causes 802.11ac devices to have issues connecting to router. Primary issue is the dreaded "No Internet, connected" status in Windows. I confirmed this issue while trying to resolve why my wife's Dell XPS13 would not connect to my shiny new router. I finally noticed an old iPad connected to the 5Ghz radio. After moving the iPad to the 2.4Ghz radio the Dell connected with no issues.
Suggested fix/feature:
1) Add feature to control which 802.11x devices can connect to a specific radio (DD-WRT has this feature).
2) Overhaul the "AIRTIME FAIRNESS" code as it is NOT working as advertised.
