NETGEAR is aware of a growing number of phone and online scams. To learn how to stay safe click here.
[Note: I'm posting here because a Netgear customer-support representative suggested I do so. I asked him to pass a suggestion along to Netgear, and he directed me here. But now that I'm here, this appears to be a user forum, not a place for Netgear to interact with customers. Confusing.]
[Also, the model # is RBK852—which this form is rejecting, above, because you haven't updated it with your newer models.]
Tonight I wanted to buy a new Orbi WiFi 6 router—but it turns out the router is only sold as a set with the satellite. But I don't need a satellite.
It's profoundly short-sighted, Netgear, for you to fail to sell the Orbi router by itself (letting us purchase a satellite if and when needed), because tonight, instead of buying an Orbi router, I'm "forced" to purchase a router from one of your competitors. All because you want us to purchase two items, even if we only need one.
I know I'm not the only customer who has encountered this, and the bottom line is that this is costing your company money, as you're driving your customers to other platforms.
I don't have time to wait for you to rethink this decision. I need a new router immediately. Tonight.
How disappointing. A lose-lose situation.
