NETGEAR is aware of a growing number of phone and online scams. To learn how to stay safe click here.
I posted this in another area of the forum and was told to post it here so that Netgear could actually see the request:::
------------------------------------
The starter pack with the PLW1000 + PL1000 is a great product however when expanding your network there is no option to purchase individual PLW1000 units.
I would like to formally request that the PLW1000 adapter be sold individually for the purpose of extending an established Powerline 1000 network.
To sell them only as a bundled pack is both a waste of resources and money.
This request applies to other versions of your EoP solutions as well.
Would you please consider this in the near future?

Not "told", "advised" to post it here to get the right people to see the message.
Single plugs are a common request. Netgear should do something about it.
The first message does not acknowledge it, but this is especially important for people who want to to add wifi plugs. Why should they have to buy a second plug to go with it when they already have one that can "host" their powerline network?
Netgear could also do more to tell people about its "three-pack" bundles. That would have solved the problem for Jono1001
This seems to be an industry issue. Most Powerline makers refuse to sell single plugs. Netgear should buck the trend or people will buy single plugs from those who do supply them. These plugs are, after all, industry standard so you can mix different makes on the same network. Does Netgear really want to encourage this?
