It would be good if Netgear decides to support the Apple Homekit router. When this function is supported by the router, its allows the users to define Web access restruction for homekit accessories using the Apple Home application.

As we can probably do similar thinks using the router configuration (in a more complex way for standard users), it would not be very hard for Netgear to add this function. Eero routers (from Amazon) aleardy supports this function and Linksys made an annoncement they will support this function too for their Mesh routers.
For non "Apple homekit" users, it does not changes anythinks. It's just an additional software function.
Personally, I do not need to have this function supports now but if there is not offcial annoncement of such support before the begining of next year, I will purchase a Linksys Velop Wifi 6 Mesh router to replace mu current Netgear router.
With more and more smart home, I think this function will be requested by more and more users. There is still a lot of such request on the community web site
