I was on The Linksys web site Homekit router function will be support for tri-band routers (see https://www.linksys.com/us/homekit-routers/) and I also saw on their community site it will also include new Mesh Wifi 6 routers.
In parallel, I know there were a lot of instability for these mesh router (even if the situation seems to be better now) and I agree when you said Netgear routers have more settings functions. I always have Netgear router up to know and that's why I'm disapointed to not have any Netgear official announcement for a future support of this function.
Hope Netgear will make an official announcement for Apple Homekit router support soon
