USB Control Center does NOT automatically connect printer
Every time I turn on the computer or wake it up from sleep/hibernation, I have to dig up the Netgear USB control center, open it, click on my printer and then select connect. Windows 7/64.
There should be the option to have the printer automatically connect; it's a timewaster to have to dig out the CC software, launch and connect the printer every time its needed.
I'm likely to stop using the USB CC until this "feature" is fixed.
Thanks.

- JohnWilliamsNoviceYes it's true that sometime we have to face such issues. I have experienced the same with my system and what contributes more to the dilemma is that such thing happen at times where we needed them badly to finish the work projects. I'm a writer and currently working for an essay writing company online (here). My works are sometimes in a type where I want to finish writing and submit the same within hours. It's truly disappointing to have bad times with our device while we are in hurry to transfer the work outputs.

This is an excellent idea, and I do not think it would take much effort at all. A few lines of code could save us all a huge amount of cumulative time!
And there are an other issue that stuff is only single user capable!!
It MUST BE MANDATORY to have it multi users. My 16 years old modem router SMC barricade did it like a charm! So excuse me but it should easily be done and implemented on every router and modem router of the Brand!

The auto connect on print is not really a new feature, this is broken, as it used to work fine. I've had 2 generations of Netgear routers (currently using WNDR 3800) and had the Netgear USB Control Center running under both XP and currently Windows 7. Everytime I would send a print job to printer connected via router, the job would start. Now, however, after updating (mistake) the USB CC software to version 1.36 and driver version 1.83.35, I now must open the USB CC and manually connect the printer.
kb9fcc is right the issue is UNACCEPTABLE nowadys, whyon earth a 10y/o piece of junk is better capable than a 500$ brand new touter.
By the way an older piece of junk with 16 y/o age was able to perform it still with flying colors multi-user Apes (app) or Program free just by config on the OS! People are lazy or not willing to perform their job properly upstairs!

USB control center actually did auto-connect in Win7. However as soon as it was installed in Win10, the auto-connect feature would not function.
Manual connect does work.
Any suggestions on how to get this thing to auto-connect again????

I think it is an excellent idea,
