User-programmable WPS and LED buttons on Nighthawk 802.11be Wi-Fi 7 routers

One of the hallmark features of many Nighthawk Wi-Fi 6, 6E and 5 routers is the Wi-Fi LED button that allows Wi-Fi radios to be toggled on and off. This Wi-Fi on/off toggle was replaced on the Nighthawk Wi-Fi 7 series with an LED on/off button that turns off all LEDs except for the power LED. While some may find the addition of an LED on/off button useful, others like myself found the Wi-Fi on/off toggle much more convenient for manually powering off Wi-Fi radios as needed. I got used to configuring device LED visibility in the router firmware menu anyways.

I would like to request a way to make the WPS and LED buttons — or at the very least the LED button — user programmable so that it can be set to toggle Wi-Fi radios on/off as before in previous models.

The ability to manually toggle Wi-Fi on/off via a button is a useful feature for some people and it would be great to include this ability on the current model lineup.

Those NH routers differ from MESH systems as they are not MESH systems and don't require the wifi radios to be enabled all the time where MESH systems do so that there connecting satellites have connection all the time and provide constant wifi signal between the main router unit and satellite units. Something I presume NG won't implement on MESH systems.

Front LEDs on Orbi systems are mainly OFF when working in normal operations. Only the front can turn ON and give inidiation of something in progress or something happening during setup routine and sync'g progress is all. Otherwise LEDs are OFF. Nothing to control.

    Good Luck though.
