What I want to do is find a piece of equipment that would receive in a WIFI signal and instead of extending that WIFI signal I would just use an port for a ethernet cable. In other words: WIFI in/Ethernet Out without creating another WIFI network. Can I use another router? or do that make an extender that would do this for me?

- I believe you're talking about a bridge. Essentially a second router that is connected by wifi to your main router and gives you the ability to connect wired devices as if they are all connected to the main device
