NETGEAR is aware of a growing number of phone and online scams. To learn how to stay safe click here.
Netgear is one of the leading suppliers of routers and yet they don't have any plans to incorporate Wireguard VPN protocol? This seems absolutely crazy to me. The only portion being installing an open source firmware which can bring with it another set of issues. Please please please can you begin to support Wireguard. Thank you.

On the r8000p there should be a way to block people out of your network. Now if you block a person (on mac -level) unknown to you, they have no internet, but can still snoop around in your network. That is how a neighberhood-kid was able to obtain my registration-code and thus was able to constantly change my wifi-password, making it impossible for my daughter to follow her schooling via the internet. I'm having my router swapped (thanks Amazone) because of course he has this code written down somewhere.

Me too! This is the only feature that is severely lacking on most Netgear routers. On my beautiful RAX70 the only VPN client they support is PureVPN, and only OpenVPN protocol. They need to get with the times and be like Asus and others that allow consumers to connect to any VPN client via wireguard. Let's please work on this netgear !! This is my only complaint!
