Yall were over thinking it. Just set the scheduler to disable the radios. Who cares if the sats lose timing ... they will check in and if they cant peer, they can check every 5 min. The sats still have power and a 24 hour timer wont lose time. If they lose power, then tell the base router to build the mesh, set the timer and then go back to sleep. Still better than never getting the feature. :)
May resort to the old RF blocking router blanket :/
