I have Netgear Arlo cameras for about 8 years. Working well. Today somehow my Arlo iPad app updated to new format (which I don’t understand). But also the past few days’ camera views are gone and I cannot see how to access my 3 camera devices that have been set up for years, I am being asked to add devices. But I cannot seem to add these devices, are they no longer usable? Is my entire Arlo setup no longer usable?

The update shouldn't have removed any cameras from your account but...

Look in the Devices section - do they show there? Dashboard only shows what you place there by using the "+" at the top. You may also need to set up any modes that didn't transfer - only Arm Away gets populated (it's like the old Armed).

I can’t help w/ the device set up but agree that the new app is really hard to understand. So far, it’s so different and terrrrrible. I wish we had been warned or offered more support for the update or I would have tried to avoid it.

Best of luck!

Thank you, but I’ve given up. I go thru the steps to add devices, but it always says there are none to recognise. Even though thee devices are connected to the base station and working fine (viewable on my parents computer half way round the world using the old app, as I’ve advised them to NOT update the app).

Were the cameras installed to your parent's account?  If so, they cannot be added to your "friend" account.  The path to see the cameras again would be for your parents to migrate to "Feed", since the accounts either need to be both "Feed" or both "Library".

If they were installed to your account - are you perhaps using different credentials with the new account?
