Cannot see Time machine disk
readynas 102, osx 10.8.3.
everything used to work just fine, upgraded to latest firmware, now it doesnt see any time machine backup disk at all.
shares are fine, data is fine, can access it all no problems. just time machine will not see a disk on rn102.
yes time machine is enabled on the readynas :/
scratching my head here i have no idea whats up

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredHave you tried disabling Time Machine in the Dashboard then re-enabling it?
- AdzAspirantseems connect to a server in finder as readynas user, then deleting the backup makes it work...
wow thats really useful.. you have to delete your timemachine backup to be able to back up... :o - AdzAspirantyeah disabled it, set it a new size, enabled it, done everything... however deleting the timemachine data makes it work again... lol
fortunatley there was nothing crucial on the backup. but i do hope this doesnt happen again otherwise i think i will need to look elsewhere to secure my data. - arisinAspirantThis worked for me:
disabling TimeMachine in the dashboard, set new password (leave size untouched), re-enabling it, restart readyNas... TM in control panel instantly found the backup volume AND my data was preserved!
I just don't understand why Netgear can't provide a fix for this...
