Rsync error read only filesystem(30)
My rsync backups have been running flawlessly for years being pulled from a 316 to a Ultra 6+. Both units are running 6.7.0. For the last 2 days, backups are failing, all with the same error, - ...

Yes of course. I will have a look at the logs to see if there is more information. The ReadyDR history gives no information apart from "Input/output error" it happened with all the ready DR jobs and as I mentioned when I later manually restarted the jobs they worked.

I have been running 6.7.1 betas on my Ultra 6 plus and have not had the problem with read only filesystem again.....until tonight.
All the rsync backups that had new data to backup, failed, and all of my ReadyDR backups failed, all with a "read only filesystem error"
The system journal log is full of:
pr 24 21:25:06 backupnas kernel: BTRFS error (device md126): parent transid verify failed on 31424512 wanted 4688 found 4660
and:

Apr 24 21:21:36 backupnas apache_access[3565]: Suppressed 77 duplicate messages
The nas has been reset three times since my OP.
What is notable is that when I go to the share settings on the nas, under file access there is a message that says "This feature is not supported for the selected share or device" The message appears in all 3 sections, Security, Default Access and Reset. On the share tab most of the shares show no space occupied and the nas is once again not accessible form the network - "access denied errors"
Whilst I accept that OS6 is not supported here, the upgrade to 6.7 has rendered my main backup unit essentially useless and I would really like to fix it, even the risky firmware downgrade sounds attractive. Does anyone have any experoence doing the downgrade from 6.7 to 6.6?
This problem had never occurred before I upgraded from 6.6 to 6.7.

I encountered something similar today, the solution turned out to be mounting my USB drive under Windows and running chkdsk /f

vandermerwe have you run the memory test boot menu option?
Have you checked the disk health?
- vandermerweApr 25, 2017Master
Memory test looks OK so far - 3 passes, no errors. I will let it run on a few more hours.
I am running extended disk tests on the disks, but all the smart data is fine in the logs.
- vandermerweApr 27, 2017Master
I stopped the memory test after 10 passes, no errors.
The Readynas boot menu disk test option ran to 100% but then stopped with no result on the display or in RAIDAR, I had to power down with a long power button push.
Testing the disk using HD sentinel revealed no errors except on one disk which had a huge number of Ultra ATA CRC errors (239000). I have read that this suggests a problem with the communication between host and drive or a power issue. I have changed this drive to a different slot to see if possibly the slot interface is faulty. I will also run a surface test on this disk. In the mean time I am putting some data on the nas to see if the disk that is currently in the slot in question develops these errors,
