C6300 router modem combo. Need advice on Positioning router modem combo for best signal
I live in an old Round barn in rural Vermont. It is now a bunch of pie shaped apartments and my signal strength is sketchy.
I have cable internet that can test @ 125 Mbps. (Not consistently )
I have a Netgear C6300 router modem combo, under 2 yrs old
I'd like to know what others know about better positioning for better signal strength. It's absurd how it's performing. I just don't know enough (what blocks signal etc.) to make an educated placement. One bedroom apt. Approx 800 sq ft.
Thanks.

One would think the center would be the best however what your walls are made of and other devices like the microwave, cordless can affect the 2.4 ghz wifi band and the 5ghz band travels a shorter distance then the 2.4 ghz band but with only around 800 square feet the center may work if possible.
