C6300v2 – AC1750 WiFi Cable Modem Router | Ethernet works fine, won't appear in WiFi networks list

Looking for some help with my C6300v2 – AC1750 WiFi Cable Modem Router.

When I first set it up, the WiFi was broadcasting fine and I was able to connect to it with any of my wireless devices from anywhere in my home. Lately, the wireless part stopped working. Now I can only use it with an Ethernet cable.

Any ideas on how to reenable the wireless function? I've run tests through the Xfinity website and they don't think anything is wrong. I've also "turned it on and off again" and reset it just to see if that would work. Is this a problem with the router/modem? Thanks.

  • There is a good chance you have accidentally shut off the Wi-Fi radios.  Neither a restart or reset will turn them back on.

Press and hold the button on the front for two seconds.  The radios should come back on.

See attached snip from the manual.
