C7000v2 AC1900 cable modem router.
total tech idiot. bought a camera that only accepts 2.4g. I bought this product because i was told it has both 5g and 2.4g which it does but there is no SSID for the 2.4 so I can't set up the camera because it does not support 5g. is there any way around this or am I missing something ? Thanks in advance

Thanks in advanceThis is a long standing issue with IoT things and routers with SMART connect.
Properly designed cameras and decent connection apps can spot what is happening.
What make are these cameras?
Have you asked them for help in how to connect to a 21st Century router?

The C7000 doesn't support smart connect as far as I know. So it should broadcast a separate ssid for the 2.4ghz/5ghz. Are both led's lit?
When you log in through the browser, are they set separate? or how do you have the ssid's set?
How do you know its not broadcasting? did you use a network scanner or what did you use? many times we hear it isn't broadcasting and its just a misunderstanding of the scanning
