CAX80 LAN address keeps reverting to default 192.168.1.1

I've had this router configured and installed for over a year, with no issues, with a configured LAN address of 10.1.1.1.
This morning, I discovered the LAN address had reverted to 192.168.1.1.  This caused a number of issues for the network.

I attempted to change it back via the web browser interface.

Going to the Advanced tab, then Setup, then LAN Setup.

After changing the LAN IP address to 10.1.1.1 and clicking on Apply, the router rebooted.

The browser could no longer connect after the reboot.
I tried connecting to the 'old' LAN address (192.168.1.1) and that worked.

I am going to try a factory reboot, but has anyone run into anything like this?

Firmware 5.1.1.8

Windows 11, Edge browser

Can't say that I have, however last time I had my CAX80 online, I used 192.168.0.1 for it's address and it's always held.

Thanks, I also tried Chrome.

Looks like a factory reset is in my future 😞

I always use MS Edge to configure mine.

Did you happen to find a solution to this? I am facing the same issue where I am unable to keep the network settings as 10.0.0.1 instead of 192.168.1.1. When I change the default IP address it always reboots and reverts back to default while also, a least 90% of the time, throws itself into a password reset loop.

Definitely would be grateful if someone has an actual solution. I've tried on every browser, factory resetting etc...

So your trying to set 10.0.0.1 and it won't take?

Had a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed with a ethernet connected PC and nothing else connected to the Modem?

What other devices are connected to the modem?
