Can I bypass the modem and connect the router to a Spectrum modem

The CBR can only be connected to a ISP cable coax line when in Gateway/router mode. The CBR supports modem only or gateway/router mode. Both modes required a ISP cable coax connection. There is a configuration where you can configure the CBR for a faux AP mode and then connect the CBR to a host router using one of the CBRs LAN ports that does work for this kind of configuration.

      1. You said "connect the CBR to a host router using one of the CBRs LAN ports" emphasis added but that would not get what I want, that is to connect the CBR750 to a modem.

      2. Second question, when CBR750 is in AP mode are the Ethernet ports disabled (ie. router disabled?

You need a router in between the ISP Modem and the CBR in faux AP mode.

LAN Ports are NOT disabled on the CBR while in faux AP Mode.
