CM1000 High Uncorrectable Codewords
Hi I own a Netgear CM1000 Modem, for just over a year now. The other day I started seeing high levels of Uncorrectable Codewords under the cable connection tab. This all came from an outage from my ISP(Comcast). I contact my ISP and tell them I am having packet loss and lag issues. I explain in alot of detail on what was going on and how everything was fine before whatever they did on the lines/node outside. I am guessing I talked to the lowest tier support they offer because they really had no idea what I was talking about. My power and signal levels are well within spec to produce an optimal connection from what I can see. (I will post a picture here so you can see as well.) I tell them this and they don't understand. So I send them a screenshot and point out in red the Uncorrectable Codewords and they are like, well you should try contacting the manufacturer of the modem for more info. So here I am, unfortunately for whatever god awful reason Netgear doesn't allow you to contact email or live chat if you product is out of warranty??? This is why I am posting here. Basically the whole point of this post is to ask what Uncorrectable Codewords really means and what can I do to "fix it" from my end. Thanks

Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute them back ON.
