CM700 Downstream Light blinking
Purchased a new CM700 and activated (via online) with Comcast. Before I had Arris SB6580 and had download speed of >150 mpbs, now I am getting <90 mpbs with blinking download stream light.
Here is a copy of the error logs. Can someone tell me how to fix this blinking downstream light and the errors seeing on the error log?
Thanks!

Re: CM700 Downstream Light blinking
Do you also have a screen snip of the cable connections page?
If you have any splitters, amplifiers, or attenuators in line, I'd remove them. These can sometimes cause issues.
Check the line for kinks, damage, cheap/bad connectors, loose connectors. Preferablly, move the modem to right where the coax enters the home to prevent wiring in the home from being the issue.

Re: CM700 Downstream Light blinking
I am not sure what you mean by a "screen snip of the cable connections page."
With regards to other devices, I do not have any splitters, amplifiers, or attenuators.
I will try to replace the coaxial cable and see if that helps.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Re: CM700 Downstream Light blinking
You need to get your line checked. You have errors in the line, power levels out of spec, and unlocked channels. All signs the isp needs to check the lines.

Re: CM700 Downstream Light blinking
Hows it working? Got your logs with that?
reason I ask is your snr is a boarderline and the upstream power seems a touch low.
But in some cases, that'll work fine so its more about how well its working and how the logs look.

Re: CM700 Downstream Light blinking
It's working out better than before, but you are correct. The upload is not as high as expected. But it is much better than before. I get about 16 mbps upload and 86 mbps download. So I can live with that.
By the way, if I switch the modem to Arris SBG6580, I get 180 mbps download but only 5 mbps upload. I didn't realize modems made that much of a difference.
I was wondering if you had any idea why that is.

Re: CM700 Downstream Light blinking
What speeds do you pay for?
both upload and download.
Who's your isp?

Re: CM700 Downstream Light blinking
I paid for 75 mbps download and 25 mbps upload. My ISP is comcast.
While download is better than expected, upload is slightly lower.

Re: CM700 Downstream Light blinking
I have no idea how the sbg8250 is getting 180mbps. sometimes ISP's overprovision but its usually only 10-20%. Not 200%+

Yeah, it's a mystery. I have searched everywhere on the web for an answer and no one seems to have an answer.
