Charter Spectrum Modem
I recently added Spectrum TV. The technicians installed the modem and all seemed fine. I then decided to upgrade my old wireless router, a Linksys, and purchased the WNR2000vr wireless router and I no longer can get to the internet. I'm not sure what the problem is. I've tried all combinations of gateway, dns, IPv4, etc. settings and nothing works.

Does your new "the modem" have a maker and model number?

Define "all".

Does your "my old wireless router, a Linksys" have a model number?
To what was it connected, how?
> [...] and purchased the WNR2000vr wireless router [...]
"vr"? "v4"? "v5"? Something else? To what is it connected, how?
What did you do to configure it?

Based on no useful information, what were you expecting to get here?

If you've "tried all combinations of [...]", then there must be
nothing left to do, so it's hopeless. If only you had done some
specific thing(s), and observed some specific failure(s), then we might
have had some chance.
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual) model number,
and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Read.
What do the LED indicators indicate? Can you make contact with the
router's management web site? Are you using some kind of web browser or
other, on some kind of computer or other, wih some kind of connection or
other to the router? Any kind of actual information might be more
helpful than "nothing works".
Now that you've "tried all combinations of [...]", you might want to
reset the router to its default settings, and start again, preferably
with a little more organization this time.
