Coaxial cable connect to modem
I am trying to insert the coaxial cable into my modem, but it will not screw on. The modem has a flat top on the cable input which seems to be an issue. I can connect the other end to the wall outlet....

A removable, protective plastic cap? Pull it off?

Nothing on it. It looks like someone shaved down a circle and it is completely flat on top. Ended up getting it to work, albeit much harder. Had to push it as hard as I could while I turned the cable. Why anyone would do this is beyond me.
