There a reason why your wanting to disable IPv6?

I only see that you can configure IPv6. Auto or Manual. There is no disabling for it. You can disable the Firewall for it. Not sure why one would do this.

I’m trying to set up pi hole so all dns traffic goes to one dns but the 2 ipv6 addresses are distributing the traffic into the 3 addresses

I would make contact with NG support and ask about this. File a support ticket:

Possible that you might need to bridge the modem and install a external router, where you have more IPv6 options. I know the R7800, XR series and Orbi systems have the option to disable IPv6 in there web pages.

Ya I was hoping I wouldn’t have to do that but how would you go about that solution

Re: How to disable ipv6 on nighthawk c7000 modem router

There is a NAT mode or should be a Bridge mode setting on the C7000. Need to Disable the NAT mode or enable the bridge mode feature on the modem. This will disable all wifi and router functions on the C7000. Thus becomes a modem only. Then connect a external router to the back of the modem and all your devices to the external router.

Alright thanks hopefully I won’t have to go down this route but if I do what routers do you recommend I don’t mind spending at etc price point I just want speed and advanced settings

I would review the R7800 first off. Good router. Voxel is working to continuing better FW updates from stock FW.

If you need more wifi to cover more range, you could and EX7700s to the R7800 or go with a Orbi RBK50 series WIFI MESH system.
