I'm trying to replace dhcp or dns with adguard home's address. I have setup adguard home in a device and it's askig to replace router's dhcp address with adguard home address. Adguard home address is 192.168.0.50. My router's dns is something like 208-67-xx-xx. Adguard will help to block ads. I tried to replace dns with adguard's address and clicked apply, the page display unable to connect error. Any idea how can I replace it?

I've done something similar to that but with a pi-hole.
A couple things.
1. make sure before you change the dns to setup the adguard computer with a static or reserved ip address
2. a backup computer is good as if the primary goes offline, then you have the 2nd one to function as dns
3. You change it under the dns. go in and click on "use these dns servers" and enter in the adguard's ip address. and then hit apply. If it doesn't work, you might want to check with adguard or ensure its running properly as if it doesn't return a response, it won't set up the dns server link.

I'm entering adguard's IP as DNS in the router setting, it process when I click apply, and it says rebooting, once it gets completed and then won't be internet for few second. Once it comes back I can see the old DNS. For some reason, it's not accepting the DNS. I am able to ssh adguard server, it's up and running. I connected through the ethernet cable. I don't know what's going on. Any idea?

Why are you changing the internet ip address to static?
Does your ISP require it?Otherwise leave it as dynamic

No I was desperate and was trying everything. However, I did a factory rest and it fixed the issue. Now I'm able to update DNS. Thank you.
