For those CAX30 users that can not access the modems web page, even after a factory reset, I got some information that TFTP method of loading FW on the modem can help resolve units that may not be accessible to it's web UI normally. 

 

This process can be used to load the v1.4x FW on to the modem for the router portion and should hopefully bring back good operation of the modem:

Get the v1.4x FW file from here first:

Need to press the reset button for 30 seconds then release, then it send to PUT the command and upload the FW. 
Make sure you enable tftp: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
Video walk through using a tftp client. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done:

I had a problem on a Windows 10 PC where this didn't work to use TFTP, so I switched to a Windows 7 PC and the TFTP worked.

The majority of our CAX30 customers have successfully restored connectivity using these two solutions. If you are still experiencing an issue after trying these steps, register your CAX30, then email NETGEAR support at cax30_support@netgear.com. Please include your CAX30 serial number in your email.

NOTICE:

For CAX30 users that do have working or semi working units and have WEB UI access to the modems web page, if your CAX30 unit has v2.x FW loaded, please downgrade the unit to v1.4x FW ASAP. V2.x FW has problems and was pulled from public download and use. Putting v1.4x back on the CAX30 will get the unit working correctly.
