N450 cable modem live parental controls take a long time to apply

I have the CG3000dv2 connected to comcast xfinity 300mbps service. Works great.  Running firmware 3.01.22 (checked with comcast and they say this is the latest version they can push to it.) Just boug...

    Fair enough, I am looking in that direction...to me it's just more the principle of the thing...what is up with the delay it its working?
