Netgear Genie Router Login

Been trying to use netgear genie Router Login. Login as: At home, User Name admin, Password: password i hit enter and it come back in Red: NETGEAR router is not found or is not supported. Also make sure the device is not connected to the guest network of the router, and no IPv6 is enabled. But how can I do anything when I can't even login. Can someone please tell me what to do I am pulling my hair out

    Hello Cmvoigt

     

    have you tried to log into the modem/router via your internet browser by going to 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1?
