Nighthawk AC1900 R7000 - Moderate NAT Type

I got this router because it was touted as a good gaming router, but ever since setting it up my NAT Type on Xbox One has been "moderate." How can I make it "Open"? I assume I should be able to given what I was led to believe about the router but I don't know where to start. There's also quitems a bit of lag.

The console is wired into the router.

    Your best bet is to turn UPnP on in the R7000.  You'll find it in ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > UPnP.  After you enable it, you'll probably want to reboot the router then the Xbox.  Then check the NAT state.
