Nighthawk r8000 slower ethernet speed than modem ethernet speed

my speed on cable modem wired straight is 500 plus download and upload 14 when I hook up to the nighthawk router wired straight is only 148 download and 8 upload, I performed a reset and re-downloaded...

Just can mess with wan or anything else except wireless

Now I have strict nat on xbox live with router plugged into modem

    If the nighthawk is in AP mode, its NAT is disabled. so its the arris that's running the nat.
