Remote Management not working in the Nighthawk app

I bought NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 (24x8) DOCSIS 3.0 WiFi Cable Modem Router Combo (C7000) Certified for Xfinity from Comcast, Spectrum, Cox. I am using it on the Xfinity Network. I enabled remote management on my router. It is in router mode. I installed the Nighthawk app on my phone and created an account but when I tried to log on it says that my model is not supported. My firmware version is v1.02.08. I have power cycled the router. Part of the reason I bought this was to have remote access and it defeats the purpose of paying $100 more so I could have this feature when I could have bought a cheaper one and it still did the same thing. I am trying to use the android version of the nighthawk app. I am connected to the 5G non guest version of the wifi. It is set for everyone right now till I get it working and http and https. I can log on locally using the Genie app and when I try to enable remote management it says not supported.

I emailed ntgrapps_support@netgear.com 3 days ago like it said in the app forums but no response. I opened a ticket online and they responded that remote management doesn't work on the Genie. It's like they skipped the whole first half of my post where I said I tried the NIGHTHAWK app which is supposed to be for the Nighthawk router. I confirmed that it was listed as supported before I bought the product but I cannot get remote management to work. So now I am stuck waiting for them to read the same exact thing again and give me an answer based on Nighthawk router not working with Nighthawl app.

Anyone else know why when I try to use the Nighthawk app it says my router is not supported? I have latest firmware, I have it enabled in router config. I have cycled power on everything and still says not supported.
