If you are trying to set up a new modem, then you need to check the documentation for that device and not just throw an app at it. (I assume that this is what you did as your message is in the section of this community given over to apps.)
As well as following the advice from plemans, you might get more appropriate and quicker replies, and find other answers, over in the appropriate section for your device:

What was your "my old century link modem? How was it configured?
What is your "my new modem"?

I would not expect CenturyLink to be involved with a "Cable Modem
Router" Perhaps you should begin again, this time with a more accurate,
precise, and complete description of the equipment involved.
For instructions on configuring a Netgear device, visit
http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual) model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read.
I fear to ask what "stopped working" actually means, or whether a
replacement was required.

The "Cable Modems & Routers" forum migh make sense if you actually
have a cable-TV-type ISP connection, which I would not expect from
CenturyLink.
