Up to 1801 Mbps setting for 5G not selectable CAX30

I have the CAX30 not the S don't know why this form wont let me select that. So for the last month my internet speeds were 50 to 100 MBPS my ISP Xfinity was at 400 MBPS. I found out that my router for whatever reason had be set to the lowest speeds the 2.5ghz was set to 54mbps and 5ghz to 430mbps. I managed to get the 2.5ghz set up to 860 but when i try to set the 5g the max 1801mbps it auto resets to 430. the only saving grace is the I can set the 5ghz to 860 like the 2.5ghz. 

 

so the question is how do i get the 5ghz to the max setting is there a work around?

    Duckware is a solid reference.  Start with chapter 11 and then go to chapter 14.

     

    What region of the world are you operating the router?   Does your region have any constraints on the use of DFS channels?

      So Some background on the situation that i forgot to put.

      1. I'm in California ISP Xfinity has internet packages ranging from 100mbps to over 1gbps 

      2. I upgraded my ISP from 400Mbps to 800Mbps (why I want to set my 5g mode to the max setting) 

      3. On my 2.5g signal I only get max wi-fi speeds of 100-150Mbps.

      4. On the 5g signal I only get max wi-fi speeds of 400-450Mbps.

      5. I have several devices that used wi-fi 6 and even they only get the 400-450mbps on the 5g.

        Additional information would be helpful.

         

        What is the firmware version number installed on your CAX30?  "The latest" is not a version number.

         

        What channel do your have your 5 GHz radio set for?  Have you tried others?

         

        What type of radio frequency environment are you running your router in?  Do you have a lot of close by neighbors that are also broadcasting 5 GHz Wi-Fi?

         

        Recommend you download the Ookla stand alone installable application for throughput testing.  The application avoids the use of a web address and a web browser that can affect the results.

         

        I am going to add chapter 10 to your reading assignment in Duckware.  Pay attention to the 160 MHz channel width discussion.

         

        If you download the technical specification sheet for your CAX30, on the last page you will see your router is a 3x3 (three stream) device on the 5 GHz band with 80 MHz channel width.  There are also three streams on the 2.4 GHz band.  In typical marketing approach, they add the three streams on each band and call it a six stream router.

         

        I do not know what your read into the marketing hype or how you interpreted it.  The real world performance of your Wi-Fi is outstanding and most likely all you are going to get.
