Wired Ethernet Speed Is Faster On Modem Than Router.
so i got xfinity gigabit a few days ago and i just bought a new modem and i also had an exsisting netgear orbi. When they hooked it up. i did a speedtest on my modem and i was getting 940-1000+ mbps. But when i used the orbi ethernet ports i only got 300-800mbps. Why?????????????????

Re: Wired Ethernet Speed Is Faster On Modem Than Router.
Please post here for your model Orbi:

As this will be an issue at the Orbi, and not the modem.
Thank you.

Re: Wired Ethernet Speed Is Faster On Modem Than Router.
I use a netgear cm1100 cable modem (1 gigabit docsis 3.1) which is allowing the netgear orbi rbr20 and rbs20 (using wired backhaul between sattelite and water.) The orbi router is the RBR20. Then I am connected through an ethernet cable to my computer and still only get 200-800mbps. While downloading fortnite, it only uses 200mbps.
My laptop (macbook air 2015 with amazonbasics usb to ethernet 10/100/1000) only gets 200mbps.
