Primary cable modem router connected to Xfinity via coax = C6300v2
Secondary cable modem router = C6230
I would like to use the secondary router (C6230) as a hot spot on the opposite end of the house and connect it wirelessly to the main router (C6300v2)
It won't work.
Basic cable modem/routers like the C6300v2 and C6230 do not have the flexibility of routers or DSL modem/routers.
You cannot use a cable modem/router as a wireless access point wired to another router.
You cannot use a cable modem/router as a "wireless bridge" that repeats the wifi from one router and shares it with other devices.
Manuals are always a good place to start.
