I didn't ask what you think it's like. I asked what you did, and
what happened when you did it. Look for "not a useful problem
description [...]", above.
Are both your computers listed in that "Attached Devices" report?

The only firewall-like capability which should affect LAN-LAN traffic
should be what blocks communication between a "guest" and a non-guest.
If you're not using the "guest networks", then I wouldn't expect any
comm problems within your LAN. Of course, with Netgear router firmware,
bugs are always possible.
Does "ping" work between the two systems of interest? Copy+paste of
actual commands with their actual output might be interesting.
Is the behavior different if both computers have Ethernet
connections?

Yes both PC's are showing up in "attached devices",
--- 192.168.0.14 ping statistics --- 35 packets transmitted, 35 received, 0% packet loss, time 34049ms rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 0.966/3.505/28.372/5.736 ms
I ran "ping" command from both terminals using each assigned IP address(that was a good idea)....Pinged fine no packet loss,I havent had time to hook up my laptop directly to router to test that way yet (another good idea)...I am nonstop work until friday am.....will let you know about both pc wired in to router...Thx again.
