rookie here: need change original SSIDs and Password model C6230 Netgear
Old Model Netgear C6230. I need to change the original 2 SSIDs and password. Netgear phone help emailed url how-tos but said if I mess up I have to buy a warranty for a fix.
IDK if I have a "legacy router with Smart Wizard." If I do, this URL may help: https://kb.netgear.com/23438/How-do-I-change-the-router-password-or-network-name-SSID-on-my-older-NETGEAR-Smart-Wizard-router.
I there any risk in trying to change SSIDs, pwords using the instructions in the URL? Netgear got me when they said if I mess up I need a warranty to fix it.

Netgear charges for support after 90 days. And its usually more than what an old router like the C6230 is worth.
You're not out anything to set it up with the browser. Its usually faster and works better anyway. Worst case scenario, you have to factory reset it back to stock and just reinstall it.
Give it a shot.
I wouldn't pay for support on that old of a device.
