why my hand made ethernet cable produce blinking orange line on modem

If your handwired wire has a not completed pair it could be connecting at 10/100mbps connection and not gigabit. 

This is what I see most often. 

Try a good quality cat 6 cable and check the connection. If thats fine, then you'll need to check your cable ends. (usually where its bad).

I've also seen people strip the protective cover off prior to crimping and nick the cable causing bad connections. It can be a little frustrating when you first start handwiring cables.

The interesting thing is that i have tested my hand-made ethernet cable with RJ45 tester (etc. cable tester), and all the lights from 1 to 8 is light up correctly.

I don't know if netgear needs special wiring instruction. I tried the netgear provided ethernet cable and it lights up green as expected, but i just dont know why my hand-made not working.

Did you test different ethernet cable? CAT6 is recommended.

yes, i had cat 6. if this hand-made cable works with other modem, it means that netgear modem has some very special requirement.

So you did try a pre-made/Mfrs cable with this modem to see if it worked and had same issue?

yes, the premade came with the box, work fine. so i am curious on what is the difference.

What CAT version is the one in the box? 

What kind of cable are you using? UTP? Stranded pair? 

Possible you might have something wired differenctly on your hand build from Mfr'd.

could be not crimped all the way. Just enough to pass a current but not enough for data. I've seen that. 

I'd try redoing your ends

The problem is not with the way i do my ethernet. I have tested them on different modems, work fine.

Why out-of-box CAT 5e works, with green light, speed 500Mbps.

and my hand-made CAT 6, creates orange blinking light, speed <100Mbps.

If i try to hand-made CAT 5e and it works, , Something is wrong with Netgear modem.

So, bought ones work fine. 

Your hand crimped ones don't. 

But your hand crimped ones work with other devices. 

Maybe the netgear needs a better quality of end crimp than other devices so it has better connections/throughput/less drops?
