CM1000V2 no sync

I bought a new CM1000V2 cable modem, it has the latest firmware V7.01.01.  When my ISP activates the modem they tell me it's not syncing so I have not internet (no upstream signal).  Every thing else...

I guess, too bad there is no way to reflash like routers.

Ya. For cable modems, no user FW is flashable. Problably wouldn't help anyways. Sounds like a HW failure.
