Finding MAC Address

May seem like dumb question but I cannot figure out how to get the MAC address. Addressses on Extender label are for connecting other devices to the extender. I need the mac to connect extender to my gateway.

Thanks

I've never touched one, so I know nothing, but...

   "connect" it _how_?  Wired?  Wireless?

If its MAC addresses are not in the fine print on its label, then the
easy approach might be to disable the restriction on your (unspecified)
"my gateway" long enough to get the information about the connected
device from your (unspecified) "my gateway".

Otherwise, I'd connect a computer with a web browser to the extender,
point a web browser at the extender, and poke around in its settings
until I found some detailed information about its interfaces.

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.  Get the User Manual (at least).  Read.  Look for
"Log in to the extender after installation".

Also please post about this over in the Extender forum:

Good Luck.

Re: Finding MAC Address

Thanks but you are talking over my head. Seems like there'd be a simple way to do this. The Gateway is FIOS G-1100 fr Verizon. Need MAC to connect extender via Wifi to Gateway. Do NOT need IP for logging into extender.

I have actually already set up the extender, but I have about 50 devices on my network and I'm trying to figure out which one is the extender.

Have posted to other forum.

Which part of the following was unclear?:

I don't understand why you need any MAC address "to connect extender
to [your] gateway."

> [...] Need MAC to connect extender via Wifi to Gateway. [...]

Why, exactly?  What would you be doing with that MAC address?  Are
you following some set of instructions or other?  Care to share?

This is not a problem requiring the reasoning capabilities of a
Sherlock Holmes.  Which one of those devices disappears from the list
when the extender is disabled?  What happens when you point a web
browser at each of them?
