How to prevent Genie from opening at startup on a macbook
I have netgear Genie installed on my macbook pro and am trying to prevent it from autostarting at login.
Tried the apple design options for login control and they have no control over the app:
- I left click on the program icon in the dock and confirm "Open at Login" is not checked
- I have checked "System Preferences" - "Login Items", listed the application, and confirmed it is not checked.
Searched the Genie application interface for application settings and could not find any.
Is there away to prevent netgear Genie from starting on login?
When you enter the app, the name "NETGEARGenie" appears next to the apple icon in the top left of the screen. Click on "NETGEARGenie" - "Preferences", uncheck "Enable Autostart", and click on "Ok". This will stop the app from automatically starting at login.
