Nighthawk app does not recognize my new C7500 modem router

Got the Nighthawk C7500 modem router, set up went smoothly. I downloaded the Nighthawk app and I try repeatedly for it to find the modem router. Says the router is not supported. That can’t be right.

    The NH app doesn't support the modems, only NG routers from what I understand. I believe Genie does though...
