Parental Controls / Open DNS problems

Question

Just set up a C6300 cable modem/router and am having troubles getting parental controls to work.

I have tried on the netgear genie app on my windows 10 PC and get the following:

I have confirmed that I AM connected to the router and my current firmware is V2.01.14

when i try to open an opendns account through my ipad or iphone , i get the following:

my attempted password has 8 characters ( capital letter, lower case letters , number, and symbol)

any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you tried to go to opendns website and create a account there then come back and login via genie.
