R7000 + Mesh + Plex DLNA

Hi everyone, 

I am looking for some help please. 

 

I have an R7000, connected to a TP link DECO mesh system. The routing is as follows: 

Internet into R7000 (wired) 

DECO connected to router via ethernet cable. 

Deco set to access point mode to extend the wifi of the R7000. 

 

I am trying to access a plex server via DLNA on an oculus quest 2. (specifically bigscreen or skybox apps). 

 

If I unplug the R7000 and go direct to the DECO I can access everything. But if I try and do it via the R7000 nothing happens. Its really frustrating. Can anyone help please?

    are you sure the deco is actually in access point mode? 

    If it was and you took out the r7000, the deco wouldn't work without taking it out of access point mode
