WNDR3400V3 will not connect to modem
I am no longer able to connect devices wirelessly or wired to this router.
I have already tried:
rebooting and resetting both the modem and router
updating to the latest firmware (1.0.67)

Hello,
"I'm sorry for bothering anyone with this." ... you are not bothering anyone. You have presented a challenge and you have been very descriptive and thorough in your explanation.
I agree with @antinode's troubleshooting process of elimination.
Would:
"As a test, what happens if you connect (only) a known-good cable from
the WNDR3400v3 WAN/Internet port to one of its LAN ports?"
Require an Ethernet crossover cable to be successful?
Chadwycke you didn't answer the question that your Ethernet cable comes from Port 1 of the Arris and goes into the Yellow WAN port connecter on the WNDR.
Does it?
It's a long shot, but physically look inside of the connector jack on the back of the WNDR.
You should see several lines of fine wire all equally spaced and level to each other. The inside of the connector should be clean, dust free and debris free to provide a healthy connection between it and the cable plug.

Yes, the yellow cable - along with various replacement cables I have tried - goes from Port 1 of the Arris to the Yellow WAN port on the Netgear. The network worked for months before it abruptly stopped. There is no visible damage or obstruction to the pins in any of the connectors on the Netgear.

I don't know what else to do at this point because I think everything has checked out.
If you had a spare router, I'd tell you to plug it in and see if that would get you to a WAN IP address.
The only other thing I can think of to do before calling it an equipment failure is to reset the router from the pushbutton on the back, hold for a slow count to ten then release. When the WNDR comes back up, power it completely off to reboot it.
Then try again with minimal configuration, login and check that your WAN configuration is proper (DHCP) and see if that connects.
If that doesn't get you back to the WAN.... then you need to consider it's a hard failure of the WNDR...

Tried all of that and still no connection. It appears to be an equipment failure. :smileysad: Thank you everyone for your assistance.
